Strategically future-oriented

Low-consumption drive concepts – the development activities in the automotive industry are currently as diverse as never before. The objective? To reduce CO2 emissions and sustainably ensure mobility.

With revolutionary ideas for variable pumps, the development engineers at NIDEC GPM make an important contribution in this regard. Using their switchable and adjustable water pumps alone generates a fuel consumption saving of up to three percent. NIDEC GPM was the first supplier to introduce the switch concept for pumps into series production around the world in 2008. Infinitely variable solutions followed.

A new water pump system from NIDEC GPM guarantees appropriate cooling, even with a resting engine, by optionally activating a PSF/ECF pump or an electrical water pump.

Variable technology also reduces fuel consumption in lubricating oil pumps.
