Performance and Innovation - PACE Award 2013 for GPM
GPM was named a 2013 Automotive News PACE Award winner at an awards ceremony in Detroit on April 15. The prestigious award recognizes automotive suppliers for superior innovation, technological advancement and business performance. GPM earned an Automotive News PACE Award following an extensive review by an independent panel of judges including a comprehensive written application and a site visit. 33 out of more than 100 participants were named as finalists. Prestigious companies from all over the world are represented together with GPM. Other companies such as Brose North America Inc., Federal-Mogul Corp., Magna Powertrain are among the 14 award winners.
In the category „Innovations in new products that have significant market impact“ GPM was honored for their Electro-Hydraulic Controlled Flow Water Pump.
The new awareness regarding environmental sustainability, the relevant legislation as well as ever increasing fuel prices present new challenges for the OEMs and their suppliers. The coolant pump with Electro-Hydraulic Controlled Flow provides coolant on demand and allows for the fastest warm-up of the engine. This leads to a significant reduction of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
The Automotive News PACE Award is accepted around the world as the industry symbol of innovation. Winning a 2013 Automotive News PACE Award is a tremendous milestone for GPM. Earning it for innovations we are privileged to develop in conjunction with our highly regarded customers makes the honor even greater.
