As part of the Innovation Day on 09.28.2010 in the exhibition hall of Erfurt, our recently deceased CEO Dr. Eugene Schmidt
was awarded the Ernst Abbe Prize for innovative entrepreneurship posthumously. This prize also took into account his social
activities.

Mr. Andreas Schmidt, son and successor of the company, Ms. Gabriele Liebtrau, daughter and assistant to the management,
together with the technical manager of GPM, Mr. Michael Grellmann, accepted the award.
